There is no separate brand name for it the way there is for some of our other communities — Marwari families are handled directly by the same matchmaking team. "Marwari" itself covers several distinct groups — Agarwal, Maheshwari, Oswal, Khandelwal and others — each with its own gotra system and its own expectations, and we ask which one a family belongs to before building a shortlist rather than treating the community as one block.
How Marwari Matchmaking Works at Sycorian
- Gotra checked and respected — Agarwal's eighteen-gotra system alone rules out same-gotra matches before a profile is ever shared.
- Sub-community distinguished properly: an Oswal family, often Jain by religion, is not matched the same way as a Maheshwari or Agarwal one.
- Family enterprise treated as part of the match, not a footnote — succession and the couple's role in the business come up early.
- No public listing. Profiles move only between the two families involved.
